Mid Season Sales - The Online Edit

I’m not usually one for shopping online 👩🏼‍💻 I would much prefer to walk into a store, chat to the store stylist, feeeellll the fabric, explore the fit, bend and stretch, and move in the garment. I like to read 👀 📖 the care label and understand where it was made, out of what and how to care for it. Details you just can’t get from buying online.

However times are a changing... 57% of us are turning to online to shop, and an even higher proportion of men opting to click a few buttons, to make their purchases.

So to help you navigate the online shopping world, without compromising on the in store experience, I suggest the following tips and tricks.

1. Buy from Australian made and owned business. It will be quicker for your items to arrive and derr supporting Aussies for Aussies is a no brainer.

2. Support local stores and boutiques. Again we’re in it together and these little guys have an amazing selection of interesting pieces and only sell limited editions. So you won’t have to stress about someone’s wearing your outfit on that Zoom or Houseparty call.

3. Scroll down and read the product and fit description. Aussies know fabrics, and the more natural the fibre the more breathable and purposeful they’ll be.this is the key for curating a functional and long term wardrobe, especially if you’re currently travelling from your bed, to the kitchen, to the couch, to your home office.

4. Familiarise yourself with the exchange / return policy as not everything is as it seems. And if you’re unsure, ask!!

5. Finally, remember the kind of service you receive, so you can thank them and return to their store, when we return to the outside world.

And if you need a gal pal to accompany you, and guide you through the chaos, drop me a line.

Happy shopping 🛍
